Common Medication Names and Prefixes
This card helps clinicians work out the class of a drug according to its prefix or suffix. This allows the clinician to quickly identify new or previously unencountered meds.
It is not an exhaustive list, but seeks to include most of the common drug classes encountered on a day to day basis.
Of course, it is always up to the clinician to "look up" any unfamiliar medications before they are prescribed or dispensed.
